Ronald McDonald House Cards

Monday, June 29th, 2009

The Ronald McDonald House Project cards were delivered on June 8th. What a wonderful place! Cindy and I even got the grand tour of the facility and saw the expansion plans to take place soon. We managed to have 20 envelopes each containing about 10 cards. Thank you to everyone who sent cards for this project. I know the kids will enjoy them!

Free Hallmark Card!

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

trial hallmark
Would you like to mail a FREE Hallmark Card to one of our Features? Or perhaps you know someone else celebrating a birthday or in need of cheer. Today, you can do it for free! It’s not an E-card. It’s an actual Hallmark card, postage paid and customized by you. You can have them mail it directly to the recipient or to you. Earliest maildate I saw was April 7th.
Go to Hallmark here and choose and create a customized card of your choice. Use the code TRIAL when you check out and Hallmark will mail the card to your chosen recipient completely free! I’ve tried it and it’s simple. You will need to create an account and login to finish th process.

Let someone know you’re thinking of them!
Hugs,
Kath

Changes

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

Hello All….I thought I’d mention some changes that are coming to our blog/newsletter area. These changes are trial and error and hopefully they will keep our blog more active with more variety from the posts that happen on our yahoo groups.
~~~ Starting today, all my posts will be open to comments. What does this mean? Once I send a posting to the blog, you will be able to comment on or reply to my post. This will give you a chance to share your input. As for the posts, they will still only come from me and the comments will be available to view at the end of my posts, but will NOT come to you directly, giving you the option to view them or not.
~~~Like many of you, we are all trying to save money. I’ve come across some great deals here and there on the web and would like to share them with my ShareaCard Friends. Be sure to look for them to appear soon.
Have a great week everyone :)
Kath

Announcing our 2008 Holiday Card Project!

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

It’s that time of year again! I’m happy to announce the 2008 Holiday Card Project!
We have 32 Features this year!!!!

The Purpose: The mission of the Holiday Card Project is to gather Christmas greeting cards and distribute them to seriously ill people who have been featured on ShareaCard and are in active status (we have had an update within the last 6 months). It is well known that the holiday season is extremely depressing to the shut-in and the very ill. They watch all around them as everyone shops and bakes and enjoy themselves, all the while many cannot even leave their homes and are ill from all their medical treatments. YOU can help make a difference in their holiday season! Just imagine the delight when a Feature receives a large box filled with greeting cards from all the United States and Canada, wishing them well and sending along caring thoughts. EVERY card received will make an impact this holiday!
What Can I Do?: Participate! Visit our Features Accepting Cards Page All the Features listed on the right hand side of the page are participating. Detailed mailing instructions are listed on this page. Any number of cards accepted! Please mail your cards by December 1st!

Can’t Participate? Help Promote! We have a Holiday Card Project Flyer available for download. Hang it up on any community bulletin board (ie: laundromats, grocery stores, restaurants etc) to help advertise our project.

Our Goal: Last year, we collected over 2150 cards! Our goal this year is to hit an all time high of 3000 cards!

Flashbacks From 2007: Visit our 2007 Holiday Card Project Results Page to hear all the exciting details from last year.

Thank you so much! This is one of those projects that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside :) Still have doubts? Read the “goose bump good” details from last year HERE! Or read how our Feature’s reacted! If you have any questions, email one of us
