 My name is Linda L.  A very good friend of mine gave you my name and mailing address  in 2004.  I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer.

                        Your group was a blessing  and I think of you all, every day.  I certainly don’t have to tell you what you are doing for others as I know you know and that is why you are here.  As I was cleaning out my room today I came across all of the cards that were sent to me during that time. We sat on the bed ( my daughter, my granddaughter, and myself ) we read all of the cards all over again..My heart was full, with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes, I once again gave thanks for you and your group.
                        As spirit so often does things, there was a reason I read your cards again.  At 11:00 p,m, tonight I received a phone call from a friend .  It was confirmed today that she has colon cancer.  They aren’t sure what kind yet.  She had an operation about 3 or 4 years ago to have stents put in as her arteries were plugged.  These stents are not holding so before they can do colon surgery she has to have surgery to re-inflate the stents or put new ones in.  They told her  the cancer is pretty severe and they want to start her on radiation and chemo now as it will be some time before they get to the surgery itself.
                        Would you and your group, please, put her on your prayer chain?  Her name is Kathy.

Thank You VERY VERY much for all the Love,,Cards,,& Many,Many SMILES on Brooke’s Face as she recieved all thoose wonderful cards!!!!!!!
JUST NEED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT…………………………….
MISS.BROOKE’ IS FINISHED WITH HER CHEMO TREATMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YUP… 2 AND 1/2yrs OF TREATMENTS EVERYDAY & MANY HOSPITAL STAYS,
just like the Very LAST hospital stay she just did (again) On May.23,2006 ONE day after Brooke turned “”5″”yrs old,,she yet spent another 9days in the hospital having her LAST spinal Tap & LAST bone marrow aspiration done. Brooke was VERY sick,,Low ANC of zero,,No fighting cells & HIGH temps,,we all thought the cancer was coming back because they found some blast cells,,but they turned out to be non cancerouse!! THANK GOD!!!!!!! So, she finished treatment & just had her first check–up on friday & it went good. Right now she is feeling not so good with a low temp,,just got to wait it out & see if she gets any sicker. Its a waiting game,,,& I will Play it!! Her counts r still low & high but she is doing o.k. Its still a Loooong rode ahead of us. All 5 of my kids r good,, Kristen will be 17 in dec. Jessica will be 14 in August, Anthony just turned 9,,Brooke just turned 5,,and Joey will be 4 on September.11  Ohhhh, Joey just got “”10″stiches in his eyebrow,yup,fell right on his little face on wood. Man a face can bleed. He will get them out wednsday.

Sorry I haven’t update earlier. I just want to share with the Shareacard family that Aunt Dorothy is doing well! So well that she’s coming here to Texas to help take care of her sister (my mother) who just had both knees replace on Wed. Please place her on inactive. Thanks for all you’ve done for Dorothy. You all made her a very happy woman, it’s so good to know that someone cares! Shareacard will forever have a special place in her heart & ours too.. She keep her cards on a wall in her family room & tell everyone who visit her about Shareccard.
I thank God for this ministry, I pray God continue to pour out His blessings on Shareacard.

Ed’s wife,Tricia, posted this update to the forums…… Ed was featured May 2005  Ed

Just wanted to update on Ed.  He is inactive right now because he is doing so well!  He was in the hospital for a few days in May, but it was caught early and he was home quickly.  Electrolytes were messed up again.  He is back to eating everything in sight and working in the garden.  He has a few chickens now that he is taking care of. 

Thank you to everyone who has sent cards to Ed.  He still reads them and they have a place of honor on the coffee table!

Thank you for the contributions we’ve received this past week! Shareacard is sending Marianne a “Build a Bear”. For those of you with childen, you are probably familiar with this company. My daughter, who is Marianne’s age, has helped me create a bear for her. We picked a soft velvet teddy and named her for Marianne. We dressed the bear with a Limited Too summer outfit and a cute pink bucket hat and added a sound button that says…”Hi Marianne, we hope ShareaCard makes you feel as special as you are! June 2006″. These bears are a huge hit with children, so I’m sure she will cherish hers! Thanks Cindy for giving me great gift ideas.

Cindy has already mailed Marianne a small package of cards! Since her mailing, more have come in. Let’s keep them coming! My goal is to see ShareaCard flourish!

You can receive these posts via your email automatically by going to the main blog page and “subscribing” on the right hand column. ***Loraine is having a real tough time. She’s very depressed about her health condition. Her son and his family have had to move out of the house to be closer to their work, due to rising gas prices Now Bud is taking care of her himself, and struggling with the day to day needs. Please keep Loraine and Bud in your prayers!

***Sudie is doing well. She’s fighting extreme tiredness and hoping it’s from the fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome.

Overall, she’s doing well!

***Pat is still hanging in there. She has her good days and bad days. The bad ones are getting more frequent. She’s still planning for craft shows she wants to do.

***Our family and most especially Jennifer would like to say thankyou so very much to everyone for all of the thoughtful cards and gifts. The high light of Jennifers day is when the mail comes and there is something in it for her from her family of friends at sharecard.She keeps them all in a shoe box beside her bed and has had us read them to her over and over again.Jennifer has alot of pain these day and does not go out places like most young people her age.So you cards and letters have helped to lift her spirit and brighten her small world.Thankyou again & God Bless.
