Holiday Card Project Winners

Friday, December 29th, 2006

Sorry for the delay in announcing the winners for our Holiday Card Project. We had such a late mailing this year that it seemed to throw everything off track.

Our winners are:
Sandi, Rebecca and Rachel Rozvasky! This family did the HCP as a community service project for the girls and they did fabulous work! They will be receiving the Sac Christmas tote with goodies donated by the Sac moderators.

Linda Richards, another winner. Linda has a non profit organization called Angels of Destiny. They mail our Features ceramic angels which have been prayed over. We will be sending Linda a donation for her organization.

Norma Hauser is our final winner. She will be receiving a ShareaCard ornament :)
Thanks everyone for another great year!

Sad News on Ike

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006

From Linda, Ike’s step-daughter

“Just wanted you all to know that Ike went to meet Jesus early Monday  (Dec.18th) morning. His funeral service is Friday Dec. 22. He did get to see some of the cards, he was so touched by the kindness of strangers. Mother will  forever cherish the cards as a reminder of the love you sent his way, when they so desperately needed it.

Thank for ALL you do.

Many Blessings,

Linda”

**Linda and her organization, Angels of Destiny, are HUGE supporters of ShareaCard. We extend our deepest sympathies to Ike’s Family at this very sad time. Unfortunately, Ike won’t get to see his Holiday Card Project envelope but we know his family will treasure the contents.

Please send Ike’s family a sympathy card:

Update on Renee

Friday, December 8th, 2006

I wish everyone well during the holiday season. We had both sons here for Thanksgiving. It was very nice being together. Time together means so much now.

I’m doing as well as possible. As I lose my ability to breathe, I lose my ability to talk for very long. I dread calls on the phone and people coming to visit, as it is embarrassing and uncomfortable for me.

Today I talked to God and asked Him to be sure to take me to Heaven and asked for my funeral expenses to be taken care of. I’m sure He will take me to Heaven. I know those expenses must be paid, but in our financial situation, I worry about how my husband will be able to manage it alone.

All I can do is pray about it. God will take care of it for me.

God bless all of you at Share A Card and those you love.

With each card I open, there is a friend that was thinking of me and trying to brighten my day.  For that, I am so grateful and thankful and give all the glory and honor to the Lord.
I am still in horrible pain, the stroke did so much damage to my nerves and the drs said it is just something I have to live with for the rest of my life.  It is intolerable, but there is nothing that can be done.  I just offer up all my pain to God.  I have been having some pain with my heart and I see my Cardiologist today.  I pray that all goes well.  My muscular dystrophy has been bad as well and there are days I can’t even get up to get a shower.  It takes so much out of me Kathy to get my day started.  I would love extra prayers for strength.  I so wanted to get decorated for Christmas … I love this time of year and my birthday is coming up on the 26th.  My prayer and wish is that I will show some sort of improvement, I refuse to give up and lose hope, as I know My GOD is an awesome God and anything can change in a blink of an eye.
The Specialists are still keeping an eye with still the possibility of the diagnosis of sebaceouos gland carn. of my right eye.   I’m still presenting with some concern to them.  again, I just need lots and lots of prayers.
well, my friend, I need to try to get some sleep.
God bless you and my love and deep gratitude to all.
Love, Jan

Jan just released her new book! Congrats Jan on your success!
