Thanks and Update on Kathy

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

From Kathy….Featured August 2006:

I would Love to say THANK YOU all very much for all the cards and PRAYERS.

I have had two major surgerys for my colon-rectal cancer, I had to have my rectum removed for life and just completed 30 radiation treatments. But thank GOD I’m alive.

I just went back to the Drs. for a mammogram and a bone density test. I have my fingers crossed.
Then of course all the follow ups you have to go through.

One of the best times for me while going through all the illness was recieving all the cards from ShareaCard.

The Drs. claim it’ll be about a year of healing. I have a high risk of this returning.

But with all the prayers I’ll be fine. They told my mom at age 38 se ad 6 months to live and she lived to be 72.
So I have every plan of being just like her.

Thank you all again
Kathy

Thanks from the Family of Ike!

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

A big thank & God bless to everyone who took time out of their busy schedule to send Ike (Dec. 2006) a card. The cards brought a sense of peace to Ike & my mother during this time. The Doctors and nurses and other hospital staff could not believe that total strangers could be so kind. We bragged on your ministry to all who asked questions about the cards.

Mother will make a scrapbook with the cards as a Memory Book of Ike. Thanks for making a difference in many lives. May God continue to bless you as you all continue to serve Him.

Many Blessings,

Ike’s Family

Sad news on John

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

John, featured January 2006, has passed away :(
Cindy received this message today:

Hi Cindy, Just wanted to let you all know that John died in the ICU this morning (Jan. 23). He crossed over peacefully and Shirley was there with him.

Thank you to all those who were so faithful to send cards. He and Shirley, both, enjoyed them so much and always kept them in the living room in a place of honor so he could share them with his company. May God continue to bless this powerful ministry.

John’s sister in law,
Marilyn

Update on Jan

Jan~~~~~Featured October 2005

I just wanted to update you with what is going on with me. I have been in the hospital. I had two strokes, back to back. I also have blockages in my neck. They are going to see if this medicine will help me vs surgery. I have an appointment today with my Cardiologist and then I will be seeing the Vascular Surgeon. Please ask my dear friends and supporters from your beautiful group if they would please keep me in their prayers. Kathy, this is just so hard on me, however, I know my Lord and Savior will carry me through. While laying in that hospital bed, I reflected on all the beautiful cards I received at Christmas and I told my nurses about all of you. They thought it was really a unique group of individuals.
Please let everyone know how special they are and happy those cards make me and the memory lasts forever.
Thanks
Love and God’s Blessings, Jan

Elizabeth~~ Featured December 2006

Please let everyone know that I am still having surgery, however trying to get into see Dr. Sevin again at Mayo Clinic and get my insurance to pay for visits and surgery. Having a lot of pain lately. Please tell everyone thank you so much for the cards and gifts–they meant so much to me. I cried every time I opened a card, especially from the children. I have saved all of the addresses and will start writing everyone back a little at the time. Also would greatly appreciate if everyone would continue to pray for me. Thanks so much!

Update and Thanks on Savannah July 2003 Feature
~~~~~~~~~~~
I can not begin to tell you how much your cards this Christmas meant to Savannah. Savannah again was in the hospital so when her Dad brought up her package full of cards she was just thrilled. It made her room look very festive.
Savannah was able to come home late Christmas Eve night. Her discharge CT scan still showed a little pocket of pneumonia so she came home on two IV antibiotics.
Savannah is still home bound from school but has been working hard with her home bound teacher.
We hope everyone has a great 2007.
