I received this update from Kathy, Featured August 2006

I just finished radiation a couple weeks ago and got a bad infection and the meds are not working. I just got told I have severe osteo, I could go on. I’m so sick of being sick. It’s getting hard to hold on.So please pray! I enjoy each and every card I recieve, it keeps me going. All the kids wow what sweet hearts. I cherish my cards and I feel the prayers. Thank you all so much. I hope to one day is to answer ereryone of them. exquse any missing h’s my computer is messing up. I love all of you and please keep praying and sending card,tere my treasures. THANK YOU ALL GOD BLESS YOU ALL

A 7 year old little boy, staying at The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, is terminally ill. He has just one wish before he passes away. He wants to break the world’s record for the most birthday cards received for one individual from the public. Please find the time to fill this little boy’s last wish and send him a birthday card. My oxygen level was way low (80) and my carbon monoxide was very high. My skin color was bluish-grey for 3 weeks. I was so out of it, because of a lack of oxygen, I wasn’t able to make a decision or even form a complete sentence.

One day, I remember thinking I was dying. All I was saying was that “I need an ambulance”, at which time my husband rushed me to the hospital. I was put into ICU right away and eventually came back to a normal color and level of consciousness. The nurse told me that I was lucky that I was brought in when I was. I was at blood gas levels of respiratory failure.

I am back at home again. Hopefully, I will be okay for a bit longer.

this disease or know of anyone who does? Kristine, Colleen’s mom, has a friend who was recently diagnosed with this and would like to hook her up with someone for support.

Hope all your “sweeties” were good to you! Here in Pa, we are snowed in with our FIRST snowstorm of the season. They are calling it our “Sweetheart Snow”.

Brooke, April 2004 Feature, has been placed on “Inactive Status”. Brooke had finished her treatments in May of 2006! Wahoooo! She sure is a little fighter Please continue to keep Brooke and her family close to heart.
